David Doggett and I will both be playing with our respective bands (Philly Blues Messengers and Beats Walkin') this coming Saturday, Oct 3rd, for a Musical memorial Tribute to Bob Zatzman, the 'unofficial Mayor of Chestnut Hill' who owned a music shop in on the hill for many years and taught guitar to many, many people over the years (including Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel). He was particularly supportive of Beats Walkin' when we were first getting started, and always willing to put up our posters in his shop and connect us with other musicians and promoters.

Bob passed away in August and many of the area's musicians who knew Bob over the years are coming together this Saturday night, Oct. 3rd, from 7pm to 9:30pm at Chestnut Hill Academy to play in his honor and memory. Proceeds from the event are going to fund a Scholarship in Bob's name at Settlement Music School. The poster below provides details. More info., including driving directions, is available at www.BobZatzman.org or by emailing info@BobZatzman.org

If you're in the area, we hope you can join us there to support this very worthy cause.

(And, I think David and I will likely get to play at least a few tunes together, which will be fun.)

Yeah, I'll be the one playing one note for every ten of Jim's. But, hey, every little bit helps. Winking
