Guy's.... thanks for the kind words. It means a lot to me. My music is not very popular among the average listener because it's too country, but I'm proud of that. I have a lot of people ask me to record certain songs, and it's almost always something that's currently on the country charts. It goes like this "I'd like to hear you record, XXXXX, and play all the music and do all the singing. I think you'd really do good on that." I translate that to mean, "You're a pretty good picker and singer, if you'd do something worth a damn."

I've played all kinds of music on other peoples records, but it's not my thing personally. Now understand that my attitude would be totally different if I was playing music for a living, but as long as it's a hobby.... my country will be country. If I'm the only one who appreciates it, that's okay. If you don't like it, and think it's noise, that's okay too... won't hurt my feelings one bit. I'm aware going in that traditional country is not appealing to most listeners. It's the few diehard fans that are left that I'm doing this for.... and for my own enjoyment. I wish I had time to do more. Smile

Rick,I bet there are more of us that like the real country than you might think.I was raised up on country, big band, and bebop jazz. Back in the 40's that's all that was on the radio. My two favorite kinds to play is classic country and Southern rock,I'm so lucky to play in a band that does both. We play Hank Sr.,Eddy Arnold,Webb,Merle,as well as ABB,Skynard,Marshall Tucker, etc.I love all of it. YOU BETCHA,DYK?BC.

If anybody here knows how to contact Kanye West or his management, can you please get him to throw off, mudsling, disrespect, bitch, moan, etc... about my music when he's on camera? I need the publicity. There's a free CD in it for you. Laughing

PS: I'll take it from RR too. Just get my name out there and help me promote fiddles and steel.

Thanks Tony. I don't know how proud Big Mon would be. He would say something sideways, like "that's a good song", etc... He would never cut it down, but he probably wouldn't praise it either. He was just that way. Smile

BTW: I've got a whole new recording set up . iMac, Studio One, etc... My first Mac, and new software too. Plenty of learning curves to keep me busy for awhile. I choose Presonus Studio One over Pro Tools (about the same cost) because I didn't want to be locked into Pro Tools propritary hardware and plugin restrictions. Studio One seems to be super. You can download a free demo at presonus.com
