I have a steel guitar junky friend who is visiting us from Oklahoma and we are having a disagreement discussion about Buddy Emmons' original connection with Shot Jackson and the Sho-Bud steel guitar.
My friend insists that Buddy and Shot were in a full partnership in making the original Sho-Buds but, from the info I have read, it seems that Buddy Emmons was only an adviser for Shot in the design and sound of the original Sho-Buds.
Can someone give us the low-down on the facts on this one, one way or the other? _________________ (I am not right all of the time but I sure like to think I am!) |

Thanks Darrell, you settled our disagreement quite amicably. It's great to read up on how things started and who was involved in the design.

I had one of the first Sho-Bud's in 1957 (D-8 w/5-pedals). Buddy built the guitar and Shot did the undercarriage! _________________ <marquee> Go~Daddy~Go, (No), Go, It's your Break Time</marquee> L8R, jb
