We need to turn the TWANG up a little
It's not what you play through, it's what you play through it.

Stan, Spooky is the word I used too.
They are that close to the real thing.
It is nice to see how some Norwegian bands are trying to get close to original country roots in their music.
When I went back to Norway last year, I saw and heard bands like Bakersfield. One of note, Big Bull Band, was doing a Waylon Jennings tribute. Close your eyes and you'd get shivers. He was that close to Waylon.
It takes a lot of study and work to get this close. _________________ BenRom Pedal Steel Guitars

Thanks guys for all the kind words about our Buck Owens & the Buckaroos tribute band. And in as far as you may have liked what you heard, it`s more due to the everlasting quality and appeal of the music and the musical prowess of Buck,Don,Tom,Doyle, and Willie than it is to our modest abilities in copying the originals.
I see that you`re from down under, Brendan, and I had the honor of having your Noel and Shirley Anstead together with Tom and Rolene Brumley as our house guests a few years back in connection with our Norwegian steel guitar convention. Wonderful friends, and a cherished memory, - especially now that Tom so unexpectedly left us.
By the way, if you`d like to have a dvd of Tom`s playing, Rolene has one with close ups of his hands as he plays his 11 string ZB showing licks, intros and songs to another player.
Just amazing to see TomĀ“s technique and knowledge of the neck.
Contact her, if you`d like to get one.
Thanks,
Steinar |
