GREAT jazz box for a fraction of the cost of a Benedetto! These Eastmans are highly-regarded, 100% hand-made, and professional/studio/orchestra-ready. Materials and craftsmanship is exquisite...no holds barred. Even the original hard case reflects an attention to detail and an appreciation of the guitar as a craft...its construction is fiberglas and even a determined baggage handler would be hard-pressed to screw it up!
Eastmans are luthier-made in Beijing. This model, the AR-810CE from Eastman's "Uptown" series, has a solid Spruce top with solid flamed Maple sides and back. The neck is Maple with an Ebony fingerboard. All hardware is gold-plated; the tailpiece and pickguard are adorned in wood. The pickup is made by Kent Armstrong, and the ouput level control is tastefully and conveniently placed under the guard. The front and back are 7-ply bound, and the fingerboard, f-holes, and overall body are all bound.
This guitar is literally in new condition. It was part of a trade and doesn't appear to have seen much daylight, at all. Price is $1795 plus shipping with professional packaging. Please contact Steve c/o SGF
