This is my new 10 string Clinesmith lapsteel built for me by Todd Clinesmith after my motorcycle accident. I am sure loving this axe. It has become a daily part of my physical and mental therapy as I heal and grow stronger.
Thanks again Todd!
Happy New Year All!
2010 will be the year I WILL walk again!
My best,
Kurt

Kurt, that is a beautiful instrument you have. I was very moved by your story and I'm sorry for what you've had to go through, but I am happy to hear of the role that music is playing in your healing. Maybe you'd better put in an order for a stand by Mark Roeder now! _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

Hey Kurt!
I once displayed a small group of my Rickenbachers posed on a love seat.......
You likely wouldn't believe the offers I rec'd for that piece of furniture......one from as far off as Australia no less.
What you asking for the daveno? |

Hey Kurt!
It's so nice to see you back here!
That's a pretty Lap Steel.
Todd is indeed a fine builder and all around nice guy.
I play a Clinesmith Reso, very similar to his personal guitar.
Hope to see you again, soon. |

Hi Kurt,
I don't think I have seen a picture of a 10 stringer like this before, I guess it allows you all the chording options you'd ever need?
How wide is the neck and are the strings the conventional distance apart?
cheers,
john |

Kurt, never, ever give up on a dream. I spent 50 years with a very severe stutter. My music was my world to escape to when the days seemed too much to bear; but, I never gave up on my dream to one day have the ability to speak fluently in front of a crowd and not be humiliated. After 50 years, my dream came true. I still truly feel that without my music, the tomorrows would have ended many years ago.
Just play that steel and lose yourself in the visions of yourself walking. Believe in it and it will come true. |
