Roger; Your short but meaningful post reminded me of a thread I wrote years ago about another singer.
It was titled A Singer Named Cheyenne and I thought at the the time, and still do, that someone would remember him from the story but that never happened.

This seems to be a very common theme among musicians and may play a part in the composition of many of their songs. It is a sad longing commentary on life as we know it from the bandstand. I would hope you have better luck then I did in your search for tribute to an old acquaintence.
