Hi,
Can anyone help me identify this steel? There is what appears to be a serial number on the butt end of the head stock. It reads: 2,1,G,1,0,,then an upside down "G", and another 0.
There's also the number "1905" on the back of the head. Rickenbacker says it didn't make it. But, as you can see, it has the Rick horseshoe pickup. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Cory Nealon

Probably Vega or Stella.
I have one just like that with a Vega logo and I have seen the same one with Stella on the headstock. I think was a second line of Harmony.
I don't know much about Vega steels, but my guess is that Vega probably made it. I never saw a different lap steel made by Harmony/Stella with a narrow horseshoe pickup like that.

The volume and tone knobs on my Vega has the same type of rainbow design in the middle.
