All of you who have been to St. Louis know this man. He is there all weekend from the very beginning to the last note played, taking photos and documenting what's going on. He told me that he usually takes about 700 photos per Convention. I asked him if anybody has ever taken a photo of him and he smiled and said no.

So here is a photo of Jim (and L.T. Zinn sneakin' in):

Kind Regards, Walter

Walter - Thanks for this thread.
Yeah, Jim is a swell guy, or, as I like to
call him, my 'fine friend and precious pal'.
Jim and I go back years, back to when the
Convention was at the Chase-Park Plaza.
He has taken literally thousands of pics of
hundreds of steelplayers, and often when ya
see a pic in print, it is often one of Jims.
He's also had an extensive collection of steels.
Here's a pic of he and I with one of the several
steels he's given me over the years. ~Russ

Thanks Walter and Russ
This man has been a very good friend for a lot of years.
When it was time for me to go digital, I call Jim and I got what he said to get and I have been a very happy camper.
He showed me a new close-up lens at ISGC this year, that he just got. His timing was just right, Patricia was standing right there, Jim said you need one of these, she said order it when we get home. ALL RIGHT!
Thanks Jim!

Your Friend
Danny

To my Buddy Jim....I like Russ go way back as far as the Chase Park Plaza...and I thought I took alot of pictures!!
Jim has been my mentor in the photography world. He has taught me so much and I so enjoy being his sidekick at the convention! He says I am getting better at capturing just the right picture of all the players..and it is so much fun!
On another note...I can't say enough about my dear friend except that "I love ya"!
Here is a picture I took of Jim (without his camera) and one of him and I in 2007..
Debbie

Walter: You know, I had never thought of this but I should have known that you would. I went up to ask him to send me some pictures of the Hall Of Fame group since Barbara had her arm around Roy (LOL).

I will tell Roy so he can put his picture on his website as when I asked him for the above pictures he was more than happy to take our card and said he would send them to me. How gracious of a man I had never met before. Thank you so much Jim. You are my pal! Hugs, Laurie

As I said in the past, The best way to get a new Web Site up and running is to give it a lot of hits.

This helps the site move up the Search Engine ladder, along with having the URL on many other web sites as possible. "Links"

The new web site for Jim Nelligan's J and J Photo Studio at www.JandJPhotoStudio.com

Thanks you all. This site has really been fun.

Jim will call a couple of times a day and while we are on the phone, if I see a gator out back and mention it, he says "get me a picture". Tired of hearing this so here is the email I sent him.

Quote:
email to Jim
"Listen, Our friendship only goes so far and NOT one foot closer.
If you want it closer, you come down here and do it yourself.
I named him for you ( Al E. Gator ) and he would like to meet you or was that eat you, not sure. You can ask him when you come down.

28-135mm lens and 2X telephoto lens"

We can't thank you enough for all the GREAT pictures through the years. But what is even greater is the friendship we have for each other. Enjoyed seeing you at the Louisville Hall of Fame Show and look forward to the next time.
