By default & entropy my Digitech Genesis 3 has become a main practice tool/toy for my steel guitar. Lately, it's developed a hissing or distortion in it, only when there's signal going through. It sounds a lot like when a stompbox has a battery going dead. (If this was battery-powered, I'd change the battery....) Idea The power supply has always run hot, as has the Genesis itself, in fact I can't trust it live because when it gets hot, it begins to randomly jump patches - creativity in circuitry is not always a good thing...

Does this sound like a common thing? I mean, do other Genesis 3 owners know anything? Digitech's customer service has taken a vow of silence... yes I know I should only use tubes, I "need" a $1000 Fractal-FX etc. but does anyone know anything?
