Here's my suggestion for your PSG..
I've just 'toned' up my Rains with a new set of SIT's. Stopped a pull rod rattle with a tweaky adjustment (can't tell you anymore on this, its a trade secret)!, and oiled it with Tri-Flow.(can't tell you where I oiled it and how much I used as this is also my secret). Damn, I didn't mean to tell you the oil I used..I was even considering putting a small foam pad between the rods where they slightly clatter against each other, like the sho-buds used too, but this can be seen when you look underneath so I left it out..
Tell you what though, It's like a new one again.

David, it seems I try to 'mod' my home built every day. No matter what, it still sounds like a home built 
Maybe it is myself that needs modding...like new arthritis-free hands and knees. Got some?
If you'd 'a told me 3 weeks ago that you were playing there, I just might have come and give you a listen.
