I am working on an Excel Superb PSG and need a couple of longer 8 mm or 5/16" (=A across flats. See graph below) 7 1/4" long (I can cut them to length from 8, 10 or 12" rods) hex rods for cross shafts. Zinc coated or stainless.
I tried finding some online but haven't been too successful.
Anybody having some for sale or a source which would sell and ship a small quantity to my Miami forwarding address.
Thanks! ... J-D. |

Thanks my friend.
I ordered them today, stainless AND cut to length (I'm getting lazy) and it's too hot around here to do most anything.
Thanks! ... J-D. |

JD...a GREAT place to find hardware and/or bar stock of any size is McMasterCarr....even plastic in hex and rounds. Mostly next day shipping and no-hassle ordering. Plenty of screws and nuts also in steel and stainless. I am in the manufacturing biz and we use this source a lot....Al |

Alan thanks.
Yes, they got a lot of stuff, and once one get used to browsing their menu, it's quite a site.
For the particular case however, Jon's site served me perfectly.
But I got yours bookmarked for future projects.
Btw... does anybody have a source of the tapered end springs as used on most all pull guitar's lower scissor return?
Thanks! ... J-D. |
