Hey anyone around the state of Alabama remember a steel player named James "Fat" Elkins. He had a couple of different bands, One called The Reptiles the other was The Dixie Critters. They made a song called Ballard of George Wallace. They use to play like the national guard armorys, A lot of the old VFW clubs in and around Gadsden. He was my late uncle, long passed away but has and always be the inspiration for me to play the steel. Whoa!
