Mike Fried's arrangement of "Nuages" on the HSGA site inspired me to experiment with this tuning. I'm wondering who else here uses it and, apart from "Sand", which songs you play using B11.

thanks,
Drew

B 11 Tuning is found in Jerry Byrd's Steel Guitar Method. "Steeling the Chimes" is another song in B 11 and it is not too difficult to play and is a real "showstopper".
There is another song in B 11 in Jerry's book ," How Do You Do" a classic Hawiian Song. It is a very difficult arrangement.

Here is my recording of "Mapuana" from a few years
ago. I do not use B11 very much but I really
enjoyed working on this beautiful arrangement.
I used the low "B" and love the sound it gives.

I've strung the upper neck of my D8 Gibson with a B11. It sounds as great with rockabilly as the more traditionnal E13.

I'm pretty sure that the song "Hana" is usually done in B11. Look for versions by Duke Ching and Alan Akaka. It's a beautiful, lush song worth learning.
