I saw the Time Jumpers last night at the Station Inn in Nashville. Terry Crisp was subbing for Paul Franklin and there were three other regulars absent. Most bands would sorely miss four regulars, but not the Jumpers. Terry Crisp sounded very much like he belonged on the stage. Great touch, taste, and tone. There were some guitar/steel twin parts that weren't happening on a couple of Andy Reiss originals, but Terry assured me he will be woodshedding this week and should have them by next Monday, as he again will be subbing for Paul. Also in the crowd were Mike Johnson and Ralph Mooney. Mondays must be swing night in Nashville, as there are now four good bands playing regularly. Unfortunately, three of them start at 9PM. Besides the Jumpers:
6PM-- John England & the Western Swingers w/ Tommy Hannum on steel @ Roberts on Broadway
9PM-- Monte Good w/ Mike Sweeney on steel @ Roberts
9PM-- the Hank Sinatra Band w/ Danny Mohammad on steel @ the Hollywood Disco on Division.
Each one is a little different and all are a real joy.
