Hi folks,
this coming Saturday night the Pressroom in Portsmouth, NH will host the 2009 Roots Country Festival. Six New Hampshire based acts covering a range of retro country genres from cowboy songs, to western swing, bluegrass, honky-tonk, and rockabilly will share the stage. The performers will include long time Seacoast favorites like Lunch at the Dump, more recent regulars like Elsa Cross and Big Red, and bands from other corners of the state like the Westernaires as well as Blue Train and the Mink Hills Band. Five of these bands have steel and or pedal steel.
The show runs from 6pm to midnight. Each band plays a 45 minute set. The Pressroom is at 77 Daniel Street, Portsmouth, NH. Cover charge is $7.
