I was having trouble locating a footswitch for an older Fender combo, and decided to build one. Fender footswitches use a voltage difference to activate the function. I used a couple of LEDs, and switching diodes, and changed the cord, and my amp doesn't know it isn't Fender.

I have (2) of the round black individual OFF/ON switches mounted on one wood-base, with just one stereo-cord & jack to run to the rear of a Fender-Amp. One button is OFF/ON Reverb and the other is ON/OFF Vibrato. I no longer have a Fender Amp., but; no one seems to want the Double Foot~Switch, so; it just sits here on the shelf! (Picture Available, on request!) [Should be in For~Sale Section, I suppose, but; no takers anyway!]

| John, the early Fender switches were simple on-off requiring 2 conductors to operate each function,(3 wires for vibrato/reverb). The newer amps use an IC to switch multiple functions using only two unshielded speaker wires, and also have an indicator LED in the footswitch itself. |

The one I put together was compatible with the ’65 RI Fender Twin~Reverb Custom™ 15.

| John, even though the Twin RI is a circuit board amp, the trem/rev is wired like the originals. To see the difference, look at the schematic of "The Twin", which uses a switch similar to the one I needed for the Champ 25. |

I'm not taking issue with anything nor anyone! I merely stated to point out that the one I made and have was/is for older model Fenders with Reverb & Vibrato. I'm not even familiar with newer model Fender Amps. and really have no interest in them, although I really like the sound of the FSK Amp.! I know nothing about electronics and schematics are like ‘Greek’ to me!
