I am posting this steel for a friend whom's
father passed away. I would purchase it myself if I had the $$$$ but I told her I bet I could find a buyer for it on the forum. As of yet all I know about this steel is based on a single picture that she gave me. The best I can tell that its a woodgrain mica single 10 with 3 pedals and 3 knees. If anyone might be interested
she is asking $850 plus shipping, if you could throw in a extra $10 that would be appreciated on my part to pay for the gas to drive out to pick up the steel thanks Gary

Update, I have had a chance to get out to see that MSA since my first post.
It is a one owner steel, only has been played at home or at church.
Upon playing it, I found it amazingly in tune and set up to have not been played in nine months, the mechanics all worked smooth
with no issues I could find.
The woood grain mica is all intact with no chips and looks good, on the back side of the body there is a small scuff on the aluminim maybe from a belt buckle or possibly where it might rub in the case, it allso has a volume and tone pot on the back side. The body has a around a 2 inch lip on the back side of the neck that a narrow pad could be installed if desired. The legs do have some light scrathes on the chrome and the pedal bar looked as if it could use some cleaning up. I did snap a few digital Pics I can email you if you are interested thanks Gary

I have been in contact with Gary about this guitar and he has gone to some effort to get the information above. One thing he forgot to mention is that the case is molded plastic with the foam on the inside deterioated and gone. This is an issue that all should know because a new case would be required. I have sent an offer to Gary but someone may go higher. That's OK too, but remember the case when you do.
Just mt 2 cents worth.[This message was edited by Charles Tilley on 29 October 2006 at 06:51 AM.] |
