I tried to forward an e-mail with Outlook Express,
but got this message back:
The host 'Yahoo' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'POP3', Server: 'Yahoo', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D
I normally use Yahoo for e-mails,but it seems some
sites use outlook for e-mails. What to do ? Ed |

Yahoo! only allows paying Yahoo! Mail Plus customers to use POP3 and SMTP clients to receive and send email. If you are paying for this POP3 access, Yahoo! has the ports and setup instructions posted in your Yahoo! email options and settings. Login to Yahoo! email, with your browser, go to options, then look for a link that deals with POP access settings.
If you are not a Mail Plus customer and still want to receive Yahoo! email in Outlook Express, please read the Yahoo.com section in my Wiz's Workshop web page. It will show you how to use FreePOPs to receive Yahoo! mail. Unfortunately, you cannot send Yahoo! mail via Outlook Express, using FreePOPs (at this time), and YPOPs no longer works. _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum
