Jerry knows steel guitar pickups. He can rewind yours or build you a new Truetone.... to your specifications. http://www.jerrywallacemusic.com/

[edit: Not meant to discount the Fralin reference made by John. Lindy Fralin's expertise in this field in known and respected worldwide.]

Yeah, Jerry Wallace breathed life back into my old Mullen pickup and it sings with true tone. Quite reasonable rates as well.

Jerry Wallace, Seymour Duncan and I think Jason Lollar's doing rewinds. I've had some done by the first two and they're excellent. Most steelers don't think of Duncan, but he's probably the most experienced winder short of Bill Lawrence. He also did Sneaky's high-output 400 pickups and his all-time favorite pickup is the Stringmaster! He knows the high-impedance types well - we talked about the ZB multi-tap pickups.

Hey Dwight,

I had Jerry Wallace do a tapped sho bud pick up for me and I'm VERY happy with it. I don't think you could go wrong with having him do it. Especially if you're particular about where you want them wound to. good luck!

Before I answer that I'd like to know why both pickups (I'm assuming they're from a D10) need rewinding? It would be very unusual for both to fail at the same time.

I will say this - if you want a stock rewind then I'd go to Jerry Wallace; if you want them modified for a different sound then I'd definitely recommend Seymour's Custom Shop. He does not do many rewinds himself, but one something like this there's a good chance he would - first because you're looking for a change in sound; second because of the triple-tap - he likes to work on odd ones like that himself.
