Not his band that we are generally familiar with #67 - http://search.tacomapubliclibrary.org/images/dt6n.asp?pg=4&krequest=subjects+contains+Top+of+the+Ocean+and+Tacoma+&stemming=&phonic=&fuzzy=&maxfiles=

Another from that night, just because #84 - http://search.tacomapubliclibrary.org/images/dt6n.asp?un=84&pg=5&krequest=subjects+contains+Top+of+the+Ocean+and+Tacoma+&stemming=&phonic=&fuzzy=&maxfiles=

Lot's of interesting shots of the midwest US post WW2.

Interesting, Dave, what make's you say so? Any other pix you've seen of him somewhere, as I've not (that I remember) and would like to? Jake has been one of those mysterious just-out-of-reach players that you want to hear more of.

Hey Ron,

I've only seen two other photos of Jake. One was Jake and Jules together behind their Magnatones and the other was Jake behind a Multicord in a band setting with Alfred Apaka - maybe the Multicord was on loan from Walter Wailehua ? I think both photos were on eBay. I asked the forum at the time if the steeler behind the Multicord was Jake and Jeff Au Hoy said it was, which of course means I really don't know if the steeler in your photo is Jake... but I betcha it is. Fortunately I'm not a betting man, but sometimes my wife and I make one dollar bets on what the tempature will be on the bay side of the Caldicott Tunnel. I usually win.

The man in the Tacoma pic has an easily identifiable face so I'll run with your call, and Jeff is virtually unfallable.

Thanx!
