This is my first time replacing the pot on my Goodrich 120 and I've run into a problem...the screw on the brass barrel that goes around the shaft of the pot won't catch. I think that the screw hole on the barrel is stripped. Does anyone know where I can order a new barrel? I can't seem to find if Goodrich has a presence on the internet.
Also, I know this is more an instrument question, but if someone could recommend where I can buy nylon tuning nuts for my BMI that would also be of utmost assistance
Thanks in advance! |

You could drill the hole one size larger, and re-tap the threads. Then put in the correct size screw. |

David,
Goodrich doesn't have a website.
Bobbe Seymour has the part for your volume pedal at http://www.steelguitar.net/
Just scroll down the left side and click on Volume Pedals. Then scroll to the bottom of the page.
BMI sells the nylon tuners for your guitar at
http://www.beckmusicalinstruments.com/Part%27s-List.html
Just give them a call and they'll take care of you. They are nice folks to deal with.
Cheers!

David...If the screw never seems to tighten, or tightens then with another 1/2 turn or so becomes loose again, the threads on the barrel are most likely stripped. (Just a thought, there should be a flat edge on the pot shaft and that is where the screw should be located to prevent the barrel from turning. If this is not the case, that alone may be allowing the barrel to turn freely when being pulled by the string.) |
