Yeah. A picture would probably simplify things.

It's a Savannah mandolin. Used to be called Johnson but the name has changed now.

looks great and cheap....it'd be worth it to pick this up, put a gibson logo on the headstock and paddle your canoe with it past a bluegrass festival...just to freak them out.

i'm all for cheaper instruments when you're learning or hobbying.
