Great work Mark. Beautiful on C6th..It had a lot of E9th flavouring to it, and that must be a bit tough.

Mark........what a joy to see and hear you play. I must say, the song and your styling did wonders for each other..... I hope to hear lots more of YOUR great playing!

Here on the SGF, I've read thro' repetitious posts about proper fretting........"using the fret markers merely as quick locater/references" and then cheating with devious bar movements in order to get accurate tonal sounds.

I couldn't help but notice how accurately and consistantly you place the bar over the fret markers
and still manage to come away with unwaveringly beautiful music. Should be a great instructional video 'for some players.'

The only thing that had me in suspense, was your tilting far to the right on the higher neck positions. I was afraid you were going to fall over but aside from that, it didn't adversely affect your great playing. Very enjoyable.

Thank you all for your kind words and support.

Ray, I just checked out your site. Wow, you were an awesome player when I was a still a sparkle in my fathers eye. I've noticed on several occasions you take the time to make constructive and encouraging comments; your comments are always very much appreciated.

All the best to you Ray.

Lovely.
Is there any way I could convince you to share the rhythm track?

No problem JD.

Don Christy of Kansas requested players on the British Steelies Society site to play this song. Basil Henriques kindly posted the following files.

PDF Chord Sheet

Midi File

I used the midi file.

I've seen this man in the flesh and watched him play live a few months ago and what a treat that was and on both necks. How about a selection on the E9th neck Mark? Great playing and lovely tone.

Thanks to both of you, Mark and Basil.
Got it.
Just got to find a way to make midi files sound nicer (?).
