While giving my guitar a very thorough cleaning, I took some pictures of what things look like underneath.

Someone posted a text only--"How to repair the neck plunger-type push buttons, if they short-out". You can see how the "plunger" makes contact with the copper strip. I used an "all"(thin pointed shaft) to very carefully spread the copper strip away from the plunger. Then I used a peice of emery cloth to thoroughly clean both contacts. Now the push buttons work just like new! I could see why the spray electonics cleaner would not work. You would make a big mess in the cavity underneath & nothing would be accomplished.

Two long rods run thru all 4 necks to hold them together & under all 4 emblems(2 in front;2 in back) I found an allen head bolt. The necks were loose, so I used an allen wrench & very easily tightened them back to normal.

I see that you have it figured out Butch Smile I repaired one with the push buttons some time ago. A little help is mostly what's needed. The through-bolts are not too bad to get out. Looks like you are doing the TLC thing Very Happy
