Martina's Steel Player

I went to see Wayne Dahl--I mean Martina McBride--in concert on Friday night in London. Wayne, of course, is Martina's steel player.
What a show. No support act...Martina came on and did the whole show. Interesting stage set-up. Drum kit was on stage-right behind sound barriers. Wayne was on the riser in the centre of the stage where the drum kit would normally be.
He plays a Zum--and it looked like 8x8. 8 foot and 5 l/r knees levers with 3 vertical. Wayne really got to shine on the 2 cuts from the Timeless album--and Martina made a special point of naming him twice in the show.
It's hard to grasp how powerful her voice is until you catch her live.
Really enjoyed the show. Next one up is Toby Keith in November.
