Are there any? Possibly Burr Brown chips? I've got to yank the chassis to replace a broken pot. Figured if there are any mods I might as well do them while I'm in there.
Thanks

David, I put a LeMay mod kit in my Peavey S/C-212 and it was like a different amp! The bass and clarity were vastly improved, and it took all the blaring "honkiness" out of the amp. John Lemay is out of the mod kit business now, but he may have the info you need to transform your amp. (It wouldn't hurt to ask.)
Peavey started making their own versions of the mod kits after John's kits got really popular, but the Peavey kits didn't give as much bass response. However, but they were still an improvement over the stock sounds. (I don't believe the Peavey kits are available any more, either.) |
