Can anybody tell me what the E-9 and C-6 factory recommended string gauges are for "The Professional"?

Bob, factory recomended gauges mean nothing. String technology has advanced light years since that guitar has been made. There are a variety of mixed gauges that you could use on that guitar that were not available at the time that guitar was made. Only your own experimentation after getting some current recomendations will work for you. Nickel verses stainless steel also.

I've used the standard Jagwires, nickel or steel and they both sound great. Same with the GHS strings.
