I was playing at a jam this past Saturday using my Fender Steel King. I was put in the corner of the room and placed my FSK in the corner leaning back so I could hear myself without blasting the others. After a couple of hours my Steel King Shut down. The power light was still on but no sound whatsoever from the amp. On Monday we were trouble shooting the amp and it operated normally. Does anyone know if the FSK has a heat protection circuit? Has anyone ever had their FSK do this? Thanks for your input.

Hello Leon;
I hope all is well with you & your family.
I looked in the owner's manual & this is what it says
" During operation: Maintain at least 6 inches (15.25 cm) of unobstructed air space around the unit to allow for proper ventilation and cooling of the unit; do not block any vents in the unit chassis. Also, if rack mounted, remove the rack enclosure
front and rear covers and leave empty one full rack space above the unit.
Æ This product should be located away from heat sources "
That tells me it does need to have ait to it so sitting next to the wall could have done it.
here is a link to the manual >>
