Beautiful Frank!

Bob's calling by this afterrnoon on his way back to Scotland to pick my ZB D-10 up.

Hopefully he's just gonna overhaul the mechanics a bit, they need some TLC. Smile

Fantastic score Frank. It's great to have a friend like Bob. Can't wait to try it out when I get to beautiful and sunny Corfu.

Hi Guys !
Thanks for your kind comments regarding the ZB.
Billy, It plays really nice as well as looking the
part,speak soon.
Duncan, you will enjoy playing it in between the
sampling of Corfu's finest crasi (wine)next June !
Jeff, if you go onto YouTube and type in "Bob Adams
on pedal steel", you can hear this wonderful guitar
being played by Bob.
Jim, my wife Lin and me moved here 5 years ago when I
retired from the British Prison Service after 27 years and have'nt looked back. I play in a duo called
"The Good 'ole Boys" to play for the holidaymakers
visiting this beautiful island, If you want to see
some excellent photo's of the island taken by,wait for it,Bob Adams, who is a professional photographer
as well and us playing in the background go to
YouTube and type in "The Good 'ole Boys Corfu 2009"
and you ( I hope ! ) should be pleasantly surprised.
All the best to you all
Frank. Corfu

this reply is more about Corfu than steel guitars (sorry)I just want to say that when I was stationed in the Med. (ship out of Lamaddelena Italy) we made many port visits arouind the med.(this was in the early 90s).By far Corfu Greece was the best time i had.It is a beautiful place and i liked it so much that when i got back to Italy with my ship I requested 2 weeks leave and went back to Corfu!!

If ever there was I guy who eats drinks and sleeps pedal steel it is Frank! Especially where ZB is concerned. He has a library of info that any museum would be proud of, trust me! He suffers however from being on a tourist driven island where main stream music is demanded and where a dedicated country band would go down like a s**t in a swimming pool! He does well to keep as much steel in the duo as he can. (End of testimonial!)

Though I have been around Europe and beyond I had never been to Corfu until June this year and like your past visit it was greatly enjoyed. Frank & Lin went out there way to make us welcome and it was greatly appreciated! I had a few pics to show for the holiday and threw them together with a couple of tracks for Frank and Russ to give a flavour. I’m sure Jim ‘C’ has had his question answered at least in part, I know that if ever he, your good self or any of you had the occasion to visit Corfu you would get the red carpet treatment! For my part I think JC’s steel playing is awesome and really enjoyed when he was joined by his son on the Sax at the ISGF.. Jim’s C6th playing is mmm! ....’Well accomplished’! As for me!!… I’m nobody, just another lover of the instrument and those who play or played it! and would dearly love ‘ JH and Mr Brumley to still be with us! ……………with the kindest of regards from Scotland………………..Bob
