Dawn Sears is doing two European dates next week with an amazing band featuring husband Kenny on fiddle (from the Timejumpers of course). The rest of the band is made up of members of Vince Gill and Patty Loveless bands (and I'm very proud to be included; some mighty big shoes to attempt to fill!). It's gonna be a blast; incredible band, great singer and lots of classic country tunes (shuffles!)...

Would love to meet some more European forumites...

July 8th: Parochiehuis
Niewkoop, Netherlands
9:30 - 10:30

July 11th: Norsk Country Festival
Breim, Norway
11:30 p.m. - 12:45 a.m.

Pete, any warm-up gigs around town before you leave? That would be nice to see.

Shorty, unfortunately no local gigs for this band at this point. We'll just have to settle for going to hear that other band she plays with on Monday nights; I hear that steel player's not too bad! Smile

And Billy, I'm sure if she'd gotten a good offer for a gig in Glasgow (or anywhere in the U.K) she'd have taken it... I remember playing a show there once in a cool venue that was on a boat docked on the river; is that still there?

Pete,
That would be the Renfrew Ferry,I was there about two weeks ago at an Albert Lee show.
They have revamped it a little but it is still quite an intimate gig where We can "touch" the band Very Happy

Billy,

I was at that venue on a U.K. tour with Allison Moorer probably 4 or 5 years ago. I was at the Arena there too, several years before that on a big "BBC" package show. Had a great time in your city both times, I can picture it well...

I'd love to come back anytime, having detoxed from two serious weeks of pub crawling! We had a Glaswiegan tour manager on that trip and he was nothing but trouble! Cool

Pete,

Europe is a fun place. You're such a good player, and that sounds like a good country band to work with. Have a good time, and try to get someone to post some you tubes.

Pete,

You lucky dude. You always seems to get my dream gigs. Dawn is one of my all time favorites. I think you guys should stop by my place for one last practice before heading to Europe. Don't believe them when they say it's faster to get to Europe flying from the east coast. It's faster from here. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
