Thanks for the report. I'm glad to see a show where the pickers get to perform more than once, just like the old days in St. Louis. One minor correction, Joe Wright plays a 12 string Sierra, not a 14 string. |

John, your review was great. In fact I only saw one error. Bobby Caldwell sang "Another Bridge To Burn" with me, not Rob Parker.
Thank you for the kind words about the sound. I am my crew work very hard and looooooonnnnnnnggggggg hours to make the sound the best possible. Mike Frost, Barry's son-in-law was my right hand man, and of course my wife Linda who helps me connect everything.
I brought some new speakers to this show. Peavey's new SP4X (4 of them) and they are killers. The best I have used.
Looking forward to another great show next year and hopefully another in Jacksonville some time soon.
Your buddy

John,
I like it. You have a ? by my guitar. It's a '79 original [push pull]. and you left off my opening tune which was an old Mel Tillis song called "Brand New Mister Me". But other than that you had me right on the money.
I think you should be voted the official archiver for the show from now on.

I second the statement that there was not one single moment of feedback from the sound system.
The mark of a true pro!
Thanks Bill and staff! |

Thanks, Bill and Mike. I will update the report shortly with those corrections. And, yes, Bill, I hope we can have another show here in Jax.

Thanks John for the great chronicle of the "Choo Choo Reunion" show. I would also like to thank you, and I know I speak for the rest of the staff band, for your wonderful compliments and insight on our work at the show. We work hard to try to compliment the steel guitarist and furnish he or she with the best backup possible that will enable them to perform any song they choose. Of course it is people like you, that recognize this and are willing to share your thoughts, that make it all worth while.
Thanks again and I hope to see you soon somewhere down the line.

John. Thanks for the nice report you did on the show. I'm sure everyone will agree with me that this was a great show, and we really appriciate the time you took in putting the report together. Many who couldn't make it this year will also enjoy reading your report.
Thanks again to everyone, and I'm looking forward to playing this show again next year. |

Thank you John, for this wonderful review. I plan to submit it to the Steel Guitar Newsletter along with pictures so even more fans can know what transpired at the Reunion Show. We consider your reviews the official history of the show. Please keep your pencil sharp for 2003. Barry Gilreath |

John, although it has been a week since the show, reading your review pulled some things to mind that I had been wanting to ask some other steelers about. Very insightful writing, if I do say so. Thanks, Pat |

John,
I'm sorry that you missed the "Super Jam" on Friday afternoon..It was "TERIFFIC" or out of this world..but you filled me in on what I missed 'cause I had to leave early on Saturday..But I concure 100%..And I also want to give KUDU's to the rest of the staff..and ALL OF THE VENORS as well as the picker!!!!!!!It was a Class ACT all the way.
I don'r think that I have EVER seen and Heard a Better "Supporting" Band!!!!Any one would sound great with those guys backing them up!! WOW!!! They basicly covered ALL aspects of music (most any way) and John..you did an excelent jop of archiving this terrific event. So I guess that makes you the Official CCCSGR archiver guy.. Maybe next year they will let you in FREE!!

Robert:
I have now updated the report to include your Dad's name. Thanks for that information. Yes, he did a fine job. He
seemed proud of the job you did, too.
And thanks to you and to everyone who has been so kind in their comments on the report.
