..and I pray to be forgiven in the morning when my husband sees that I have posted this in his name....
This is the first mixed song on his new album, and he has been asking me to find out how to place an mp3 file in the forum for some weeks now. I finally found out Very Happy, and here it is:

"forgiven"??... for posting one of the best Country Songs I have ever heard on here? The vocal and Steel playing is on the mark! My congratulations to Egil for such fine steel playing and tone to the bone. I hope you/he will post more of his new album on here for all to hear.

Jo, Thanks!
This is one of those proud moments I experience when a fellow Norwegian puts out a top quality, great sounding piece of steel guitar.
Just knowing that I have known Egil since his wee beginnings back in the mid 70's, until now when he is so obviously the professional along with the big names, makes me feel just great and so proud to know a fellow Norwegian who has come that far in the steel guitar world. A huge accomplishment; one that you both can be very proud of!
Your friend in Canada
Bent

Hello from Norway.
Many, many thanks for all the kind words about my playing, and my attempt to make a new CD.We are up to the point where we will start mixing the stuff, and this song was all we did on the first evening. The mixing will continue in July, and hopefully be ready sometime in August.
Maybe you have seen the other post with one of the instrumentals somewhere else on here, currently on page 3,a post called "clip from my new CD".
The vocals on this first song is by Kristin Hauge. She does 3 more, and there are 3 other guest singers as well. The rest of the 16-17 tunes are instrumentals.
If I remember correctly, the steel used here is my Emmons LeGrande III,and a Peavey Nashv.400.
Some of the newer recordings have my new Zum,and a Nashville 112.
I will later add another song that I have a special plan for,so keep on watching! Need to do some filming before I add that one.
Nice to hear from all of you.
Working on my new homepage as well. Will keep you posted.
Best from Egil.

Very Happy Rolling Eyes Whoa! Whoa!

Egil : I am an ardent fan of the steel guitar; especially when steelers like your-self do such a fabulous job on this great instrument. Love the sound you are putting out on this song ; A departed brother-in-law of mine , was of Norwegian origin, but lived in our state of Wisconsin for many years. Thus, it is fine steelers like your-self whom bring back special memories of him and his family. I can well imagine why Bent is so proud of you. And I am , too..Send us some more, O.K?..Bernie Very Happy Rolling Eyes Laughing Whoa!

Hello
Many thanks to you all for the nice feedback so far,and I must say I`m sorry for the late reply. It has been a heatwave here-at least after Norwegian conditions-and that keep me away from all rehearsing, and checking the PC.Outdoor is better!
We are still working on the homepage, trying out different ideas.I have things-music and videoes-to be uploaded when ready,so hopefully I have some interesting things to add during the fall. My holiday starts the 20th.July,and don`t know how much mixing that will be done on my songs before that, but hopefully some.
Will keep you posted.
Best from Egil.

Hello
Many thanks for your feedback,I really appreciate that.
I have allready made a new mix to this song,I felt the steel was a little too loud over the vocals,so we adjusted that.Even tho this is a steel album with half of the tunes being instrumentals,I don`t want to kill the vocals!.We learn as we go.
Again,thanks for chiming in!!.
Egil.
