David Sanderson sent me a picture of an Emmons ad he wanted me to post.
This was back when a buck was a buck and women could cook and chop wood! Very Happy

I remember in 1975 I spent every penny of my high school graduation money and bought that guitar, case and volume pedal from that ad. To my surprise, when it arrived, is when there was the "some assembly required". I didn't know you had to put them together. Great guitar.

Just in the spirit of the original post, I like this. Zane even gave me a dealer's discount because there were no dealers in my area. I added a couple of levers years later.

If that Emmons is the push/pull student model (black rock?), its value has appreciated quite a bit better than the BMI. I couldn't be more pleased with the luck of my unguided choice back then----I could have thrown a dart and chosen an Acme Whine-Rite or something.
