That's a great looking guitar. I'm curious to know what the V stands for. I'm not familiar with the newer Martin models. My newest Martin is almost 60 years old. |

The "V" in the more modern Martin guitars stands for "Vintage Series" The characteristics are suppose to be close to that of a true vintage Martin in a brand-new package. Tuning keys/Tops/construction, etc. _________________ Benjamin Turner |

Lee, the 'V' stands for 'Vintage Series'. These models have the forward shifted, scalloped bracing and more traditional neck cross section along with aging toner on the top to make them appear older. As far as I'm concerned, this series has the most 'bang for the buck' of anything Martin makes right now. They're super guitars. _________________ 2013 Brook Torridge, 2014 Martin 000-18, two homebrew Teles, Evans RE200 amp, Quilter 101R head, understanding wife of 45 years.
