Very Happy I got Reds CD this year at the SWSGA and listened to it on the way home, It is very well done, but my favorite is one Red penned called "Gumpys Girl" I enjoy all the good music, and you can feel the love. It is fun to pick with. Good luck Red with Willy's place.

"Congratulations" my friend! This album deserves to be on Willie's Place, and beyond. You are to be commended for your support of our instrument, and recording a project where the steel is out front. I encourage everyone to visit Red's website www.redkilby.com for information on the four great players used on this recording.

WOW, thanks so much everyone for your kind words about this exciting time for me and my music. I have said it before and I will say it again, it was true honor to record with some of the living legends of the Steel Guitar, Lloyd Green, Ralph Mooney, Dicky Overbey, and Jerry Brightman, and to showcase them as it should be done.

Please visit www.xmfan.com and on the left side you will see a audio search library and type in Red Kilby, then you can check out when the songs were last played and also request them too.

Thanks Matthew for the kind words.

Hey Bill, I am so glad you like "AKA Gumpy's Girl", that song is very special to me, and alot of you folks know that I wrote that for my beautiful granddaughter Lacee, she is a great kid.

Can't wait to sing one with you Lorraine in St. Louis, by the way folks this will be Lorraine's 1st visit to St. Louis and Scotty's, so if you need a girl singer don't be shy, just ask her. Let's make her feel welcome.

Hey Shoe, can't wait to sing with you also in St. Louis, and also it is an honor to be doing your country music festival out in Jewell, Ks. on Sept. 19th this year. Linda and I are looking forward to that.

I just heard yesterday the DJ on XM state before playing one of Red's songs that Red is the #1 requested new artist this week on XM radio. That's right our very own, reserved and quiet one is now #1.

Let's do Red a favor and keep him #1 on XM's hot list.

If you want to hear more of Red being backed up by Lloyd and Mooney and others, just do this for them.

Go to: www.xmfan.com

On the left side of the page you will find a place to type in Red Kilby.

Search and up will come 5 of the songs of Red's that are in rotation. Just one at a time request them by giving them your name and email. You have now voted for Red and helped one of our very own who promotes steel guitar wherever he goes.

Let Red know you have voted for him. Others throughout the U.S. must be casting votes to be #1. Who wouldn't after hearing those 5 great songs of his that are in rotation on XM right now.

Sincerely,
Gary Sill

Congratulations Red!! I sure appreciate what you are doing for Real Country Music, and the Steel Guitar.
I'm proud that one of the songs "When She Does Me Right She Does You Wrong" being featured on Willies Place by you is a song I wrote. Thanks again.

Thanks to all you Red Kilby fans and folks that like our kind of country. "When She Does Me Right" has been making people dance since 1973, so scoot back the rug, and get after it. Thanks, Chuck Cusimano

Thanks Chuck for such a Great Song, "When She does me right she does you wrong" and you have to admit, that solo that Lloyd Green does in the middle of the song with the modulation is pretty cool.
It was also pretty cool to have you in the studio in Texas when we cut your song.
I hope to cut another one real soon, and you know which one I want.

Thanks Gary for posting such a neat post about the music being played, I am proud to call you a friend.

It is such an honor that you folks are requesting this music of mine, and are some of the best people and best friends I have ever met, YES YOU ALL, the STEEL PLAYERS. Can't wait to see you all in St. Louis this Labor Day, I will be sore from the surgery, But I will be there.

Thanks Jack, you are 1 in a Milion my friend, and thanks for the great job you did for me on steel on my recent show in Florida. You and Ron, and the guys did an awesome job.

I keep XM on just about anytime I'm in my car -- and I have heard a couple of Red's songs being played on "Willie's Place." Good stuff, Red. Congratulations.

Red Kilby: We knew him when... Laughing

Congratulations Red! I'll be listening for ya when I can pry the XM away from my wife. I do own the CD and will be spining it up this week in the car.

Great to see what the right choice of a steel player, or four, will do. Wink

See you in St. Louis.
