Ol' George is gone, wow!!
In 1980, I took my 12 year old son and joined up with Keith Allen and the guys from Castilla Productions (The Guitar Poster) at the NAMM show in Anaheim...while we were sittin' around in their booth, Leo Fender and George Fullerton came up with their wives...they hung out with us for 20 minutes or so....NICE GUYS!! What a treat to meet the ICONS of this industry.
Also got to meet Tommy Tedesco and Stevie Wonder....My son came back to the booth just after Stevie left and thought I was lying about him being there.
I told him that he'd just gone into th lil' boys room so he went in...he came back laughing...and said that Stevie was at the urinal..singing...he thought that was cool!  |
