I am looking at getting a new processor. I have found the TC Electronics G Major and the Lexicon MX300. They are comparable in price. Who has experience with either or both of these units? I am looking for lush reverbs and delay but not an overly processed sound. |

If you're just wanting a processor to use on the bandstand, I would recommend the DigiTech RP-150. It has lush Lexicon reverbs and either digital or analog delay. It's easily programmable by hooking it up to your computer. I have six programs that will get me through the evening. The unit costs less than $100. I think it may be too noisy for studio work, but it works great on the bandstand.

Harold : I have tried both of these units and found the Lexicon to be more user friendly and somewhat a better reverb in my guestmation ! |

I just spent way too much time recording and listening back to stuff using the TC M-One, M350 and Lexicon MX400. They're not the exact units you are talking about, but they're close. The Lexicon won out in the overall ratings. I had many people with great ears listen to each example, and those are the results. My setup is probably different than yours, but for what it's worth. Larry has a good point about the Pod. I spent lots of time using and X3 and can't say enough about how easy and versatile it is in live situations.

Thanks for the replys. I have a Genesis 3 I use for single amp applications but I want to upgrade my rack. I was leaning toward the Lexicon simply because of the quality of effects, and I know nothing about the TC. I sometimes use the Genesis with the rack but it's an extra piece to carry since it is not mounted in the rack. I would guess the Pod would be better than the Genesis because of it's size and it is a newer unit. |

Like Jeff, I have not heard much that can beat Lexicon reverbs. But value wise, the TC electronics M350 comes in very well. It sounds good and is very easy to use.
