Many years ago, I got the first color Guitar from Emmons. It was a blue Emmons, about a 66 or 67. I played it for a couple of years when I was with Stonewall Jackson. Because everything was green, when I went with Jack Greene, I got a green Emmons, and gave the blue Emmons to Buddy Emmons. He later sold it to Jerry Fox from Texas..Jerry passed away as we were told..now we would like to know where the blue Emmons is today...just like to know. If any of you guys know, could you please let us know.
I know it's a strange request, but just like to know.
Many thanks to you all.

Good luck Buddy and Ron. Myself and Bobby Garrett tried for years to find his Sho-Bud with his name on the front, which was sold to someone in Dallas. Never did find it. Jody.

Ron,
Back Some yrs ago i met Ed Black in Phoenix Az
and he had a Blue P/P Emmons. i dont recall what yr it was or where he said he got it . Ed passed away a few yrs ago and i recall someone here on the forum talking about Ed recently and that Blue P/P.
Tom Mortenson Would know better than most if that was the Guitar you are Hunting. he lives in Nashville now i believe and is a forum Member..
I hope this helps.
We hope you are doing well and i sure would like to hear you play that solo again you did with Clinton Gregory on "Nobody's Darlin". That is how steel guitar is supposed to be played in My opinion.

Thanks Sonny and Boo,
I did look at Carl's E, it was a Lashley,...mine was a P/P with the old "peel-off" decal for the Emmons Logo. Thank all you guys for the response. We'll keep looking. Bobby Hempker with Loretta, at the time,
saw mine and ordered one also. Thanks again.

I saw Ed Black's blue Emmons at his house in about 1980? it was a powder blue,I'm pretty sure Ed ordered it from Emmons but I could be wrong,If anyone would know about that guitar it would be Ed's friend Mickey Mcgee in Phoenix...he's a forum member but hasn't posted in a while, good luck,Stu Winking

Ron, you've probably already done this, but if not, try looking through the following thread and see if your Emmons is posted there.

And here's another place to look. There are seven pages of photos of Emmons guitars to search through.

Ron,
several years ago I purchased a light blue, sort of baby blue emmons from Bobby Seymour. I think he may have mentioned your name as a previous owner. I sold this guitar to Harry Teachman in Massachussetts. Dont know if he still has it, or if it is the axe you are looking for, but Tommy Cass in Boston put the deal together for me, so he probanly has a contact for Harry.
Hope this helps.
Good luck

Thanks Kelly, I don't think Bobbe ever had that guitar. It went to Texas. If Bobbe would have had it,
I would have known it(or seen it). Maybe this fellow in Boston might get in touch with me. I don't mind a phone call or an e-mail. Thank you so much for your help.

Unless he recently sold it, Dan Dugmore now owns Ed Black's blue Emmons.

Jerry,
My Emmons was a powder/baby blue, Alum.necks,
9&4 at the time. It was a 66 or 67 with the old decal for a logo. I don't remember the serial#.
I just want to know where it wound up after all these years. I had many P/P's after that,but.....
Thanks.

Ron, have you called the Emmons Company to see if they have a record of the Serial Number of that guitar? Charlie Curtis (I believe you know a friend of mine in Nashville, Joe McClure?)

Ron

Did you have the Kluson tuners with the cast waffle tuner case (gear cover) and tulips? I don't mean the tulip klusons Emmons used ten years after your guitar, but instead the tulip Klusons with the fancier body.

A friend had a powder blue D-10 from 1966 that had those tuners. The guitar has been redone and is currently flocked jewelry box blue.

Chris,
My guitar had the older kluson keys. Thank you for your concern and help. Good to hear from you.
