Hi Guys, I haven't posted any tunes in awhile and got inspired to record again. Have a listen. I've always been moved by the vocal harmonies in this tune and thought it might be a good tune to try on steel. I'm also open to any suggestions on improving my playing, don't be shy. In My Room.mp3
BTW, I have the BIAB rhythm file for this one or an mp3 rhythm track. If anyone is interested just email me.

Thanks for the encouraging words guys. I made the rhythm track with BIAB then imported it into PowerTracks and then recorded the steel dry and added some reverb. I'm still experimenting with this setup but I think once I get it all figured out I can make a much better soundin recording. Why is it you can play something with your eyes closed but as soon as you hit the record button it's one clam after another??? |

Andy,
Excellent, I'm a big Brain fan and you did a great job on one of his best songs. Please do some more BB's songs. How about 'till I die' _________________ Regards, Craig

I used BIAB to create the rhythm track which I then imported into PowerTracks on my laptop. I've got a line from the preamp out on the back of my Nashville 112 to the line in/mic input on the laptop and another line from the headphone jack on the laptop to another amp so I can hear the BIAB track while I record my Sho-Bud track with a dry signal. After I record my track I use the mixer section of PowerTracks to add some reverb and whatever else I like. It's a Pretty basic recording setup. I'm kinda new at this so I'm still experimenting with input levels and mixing but hope to get a better recording with more practice. |

Danny Gatton cut a nice version of this, and it was the last song Tammy Wynette recorded... as a duet with Brian Wilson. nice one Andy! _________________ 1965 Emmons S-10, 3x5 • Emmons LLIII D-10, 10x12 • JCH D-10, 10x12 • Beard MA-8 • Oahu Tonemaster |

Thanks again guys. Love your recording Larry. One thing recording has taught me is that I need to practice more without any effects. Little problems with intonation and blocking can be hidden behind effects. Recording is an awesome tool for gauging your progress too. |
