Hey guys, I have a great deal to pass along on a very cool classic Fender. I'm a newbie to the forum, but was sent here by Jim at Lone Star Steel Guitars. Since I'm new, I'll post lots of clear pictures, and answer any questions or concerns anyone might have. I'm a worship pastor in Temple, TX. I'm not a Steel player, but I am a guitar player and enthusiast, so I appreciate what I'm listing here very much.
I've spent most of today getting all the info I can find on this guitar, so I'll do my best to be as thorough as possible. From everything I've gathered (thanks to George Gruhn), this is a 1956 Fender Triple 8 Stringmaster. It's in great condition, but sadly, it has had a coat of brown lacquer applied. The Fender decal is still on the front, but is covered by the lacquer as well, so it's discolored from original. Serial number is 01217, and the written date inside the tuner plate is 6/56. The original tweed case is included, but it's a little rough. Hinges on the back are pulled out, but interior cloth keeps the case together.
I really just need to sell this to get my money back. I rescued it from a resale shop, and knew it would be appreciated much more by someone who knew what they had.
I'd like to get $1100 shipped.
