I just returned from one of the best music runs in my life. After searching for a good commerical steel player that could go out and work some Casino dates with me and one that had at least a sample of his playing out there for me to hear I called Leonard Bick in Washington Courthouse Ohio. Leonard was the steel player with Johnny Paychecks Workin Man's Band for three years and recorded a live album with them also. Being a steel player myself and now the "Artist" I am very picky about who I use on the road as the last trip out I lost one gig because the guitar and bass player were drunks and I had gave them the benifit of the doubt and thought they really had learned my music like they said they had when all the time they had not. I'd decided on this trip that it would be hard Country with just myself on my Martin, Bass, Drums and Steel Guitar and honky tonk them to death. We played tons of Haggard/Hanks/Jones/Price and all that. When Leonard played I heard Emmons, Lloyd, Brumley and himself and felt like I'd died and gone to heaven right there in my boots. I have used several players over the years but never anyone even close to this ability. Thanks Leonard for giving me such credibility and giving folks a strong dose of what this music is supposed to sound like. I hope we can do it again sometime.

I saw Lenoard a couple of times with JP. Some of the best shows I ever saw. Nothing watered downs about Lenoards playing. I'm sure the two of you fit together well. Wish I could have heard some of it.

If any one knows about true country music and true country pickers WC does. Will be glad when his new CD comes out.

I think it would be great if he could get a shot at RFD'S True Country TV Program.
