Hi. as you can see, the cracked screw plates on these pickups are about to let them float:


do any of you know what to use for making replcement plastic caps? (there is little space between coil and strings btw.)

Interesting old steel Rainer Smile

Its hard to tell, but it looks like the mounting tabs were / are part of the bobin base.
Short of re-building and re-winding the pickups, maybe a piece of molded plastic with tabs that went over the pickup to "capture" it might work.
A clear or solid color acrylic would work and is fairly easy to find. With the ends left open it should be a pretty easy part to make.
