| While Bill was not a member of the SGF, he certainly was a member of the steel guitar brotherhood. He died of cancer yesterday. I played with Bill in the Rio Grande Valley for five years until last year when his health would not let him spend the winter in the RGV. He was from the Emory, TX area and played in Point,TX and the surrounding area. Heaven has acquired another of our best. |

I knew Bill well. He had told me several years ago that he had cancer. So sorry to hear he has lost the battle. Shared the stage with him many times at various jam sessions in the Valley. Our prayers for his family.....alan
