I just installed a Vertical knee lever on my push pull Emmons. I used the holes from a previous Vertical that was taken off some time back. My issue is the bell crank is all the way against the "L" bracket that holds the cross shaft , yet its not far enough to make a straight push to the lower finger. Can I put a slight bend in the rod before going through the Lower return spring Bracket so that I can achieve a straight shot? Otherwise the rod is rubbing hard against the Lower return spring bracket's Guide holes. This is a picture of what I have going on. I don't have the lower hooked up yet so you can see the path it wants to take. I'd Assume a small bend won't hurt but Im not very experienced with these contraptions .
Thanks.

I'd just turn the bracket next to the crank around.........

Yeah I think that is the solution. Of course I will have to cut more off of the cross shaft to do so, otherwise it will get in the way of the 4th pedal rod attachment and stop.

Maybe not......just spin the bracket around 180 and put the crank on the other side.....use the same screw holes---everything should line right up....

I wouldn't bend a lowering rod, they're a little unstable anyway, especially the long ones. A raise rod is a different story. The previous posters have the right solution.
