I'm in the local college drama dept. production of Hank Williams: Lost Highway as Shag the steeler and reading Hoss' lines. Anyone else out there done this production?

Hey Russ!!

This is a local production (non-equity gig) and they are trying to save money, thus the combining of the roles. I'm sure there will be some creative blocking where I gotta play Stringmaster and do my lines at the same time.

I remember seeing you on the Patsy show years ago!

thanks,
Drew

Olaf is correct. During the Spring of 2005 I was in a production of "Lost Highway" in the role of Burrhead, but I played steel (Stringmaster) predominantly. I also played blues-style dobro ("This Is the Way I Do) and standard guitar ("Way Downtown") one one tune each.

We also, for political and budgetary reasons, had a cut-down cast, and I understand that didn't sit too well with the production company that licenses the play to local theatres.
