I keep getting update notices. Are there issues with this version and should I wait to upgrade?
Thanks
Joe

I.E.8 has been out (final version) for several months. No problems that I've seen on the Dell users forum or with my own PC's.

If you have I.E.7 and it works OK, I.E.8 will too.

I have mentioned this before and will repeat it again, in this thread: If you use Spybot S&D and immunize against bad domains, you may experience instant crashes when you try to open IE 8. For some reason IE 8 cannot deal with the sudden addition of hundreds of domains to the Restricted Sites Zone (RSZ).

Your solution is to select all immunizations, except for the HOSTS file, then click the Undo button. This will remove all immunizations and sites from the RSZ. You will have to rely upon the additions made to your HOSTS file to protect you from known hostile websites.

I earned this the hard way after upgrading to IE8. It is the last entry on the News page for Spybot S&D. This is an unresolved problem that only seems to affect IE 8. Firefox or Opera are not affected by these immunizations.

I was using IE7 and enjoyed using HP's Smart Wep Printing, until I installed IE8 and, you guessed it, not compatible! HP says they are working on an update but the Smart Web Printing is such a neat free program if you want to save on paper and ink. So, Now, I have to decide on whether I should uninstall IE8. If I do then I'm afraid that I will create other PC problems which I have experienced in the past. So, I've decided to say put with IE8, come on HP with your update!

You can indeed uninstall IE 8 and roll back to IE 7, via Control Panel Add/Remove Programs. You could also try restoring the system to before the IE 8 Windows Update and just apply the other updates that are available for your PC.
