Nelson was one of the best bass players in the central Illinois area. He played with many of the bands in this area. He had been inactive the past 20 years. He was the last surviving member of a trio that played in Decatur for years, which included Allen " Sparky" Sparks and Larry Garner.

Services to be announced.

Lyle...
So sorry to hear this...I was hoping to see him when we come back in July for the WHOW reunion. I worked many jobs with Satch and he was not only a good bassist, but a great guy to boot. I will miss him.
