I somehow broke off the master reverb knob and stem on my Nashville 112 amp. I assume this entails replacing the pot right ? Is this a shade tree mechanics skill level or do I need to get it to a technician ? Thanks, Bill.

Depends on your electronic and soldering skills. To properly replace it you need to remove the preamp board so you can unsolder the old pot and solder in a new (exact replacement from Peavey) pot.

Unfortunately, this happens occasionally. It does require some disassembly of the chassis to replace the pot. If you feel like you can do the repair, you can order parts through the factory parts department by calling 1-877-732-8391, ext. 1386 or take your amp to an authorized Peavey repair center in your area. Here is the Peavey dealer/service center search link;

Best have a temperature controlled soldering station, solder wick and really good soldering skills. If not you will burn up the circuit board trying to get the old pot out. There are 4 mounting lugs soldered to the board and also 3 contacts for the pot. Same pot used in the Profex 2.

Bill, you might check with Virgil Pitman if you have any reservation about replacing the pot. I bet he can help you.
