Can someone tell me if there is any difference tuning the splits on an Emmons SKH verses the Emmons Legrande II? I have one I just can't seem to dial in the tuning correctly--it's me I'm sure!

What order are you following?

Generally, the more details, the better.
You should tune in this order: G#, A, G, F#
What is the nature of the difficulty?
Have you made sure there's a tad of slack on both pulls?

Scroll down to Pat Laffrat's post. It's all there. This should be made a sticky as it comes up so frequently here.

Agreed, Jerry. But if he can tune one guitar, but not the other, I start thinking a pull is overtuned.
Or that the problem guitar has a problem.

Allen, they tune the same way. What Lane said. Just raise your 6th string lower one hole higher in the bellcrank. Assuming it's a 4 hole? Should let you tune.

The best I can offer without specifics.

Thanks to all for the input. I did finally get the guitar tuned, and I ended up doing as Bobby suggested to ever get it to tune properly. The previous owner(s) obviously never had used a split on the 6 string and thus the guitar had never been tweeked for that tuning. Thanks again to all that responded, great "bunch" of guys!
